1. The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board on Monday made public the statistics of registered candidates for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination according to states. More than 1.8 million candidates registered for this year’s examination.
2. Zamfara, according to the statistics, has the least number of candidates while Lagos has the highest number of candidates in Nigeria and the South West. The states and the number of candidates are; Abia 31,782 ; Adamawa 22,268; Akwa-Ibom 35,369 ; Anambra 42,960; Bauchi 23,509; Bayelsa 20,270 ; Benue 51,003 ; Borno 22,310 ; Cross River 27,041 ; Delta 58,088. Others are Ebonyi 12,600; Edo 44,648; Ekiti 23,224; Enugu 37,448; FCT 77,705; Gombe 25,673; Imo 30,782; Jigawa 19,195; Kaduna 94,113.
3. Also, still on JAMB news today 2024, the examination which commenced on Friday, May 6, 2024, would be concluded on May 12, 2024.
4. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board is yet to commence releasing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination because of some internal appraisal. The result will be released.
5. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced that the first batch of UTME results of candidates who wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Friday and Saturday will be out next week.
